Every year setting up for Christmas is an exciting event. Putting up lights and decor around the house puts almost everyone into the Christmas mood, but setting up the Christmas tree is what really adds that Christmas element. However, some are missing one thing: in getting to go out and buy a real Christmas tree.

Trying to find the perfect tree can be exhausting. If you try and buy one late, it’s hard to find just what you’re looking for. But that’s part of the fun. Trees come in all shapes and sizes. Some of them are small and full and some are tall and skinny. You can decide what you like best year after year as you get a different one. With a fake tree, you get the same thing every year.

Another pro of having a real tree is that they smell amazing. Pine is a very strong smell and adds to the overall Christmas atmosphere. Fake trees are typically plastic. While you can use something like an air freshener but this doesn’t give the same vibe as the smell coming directly from the tree.

A lot of farmers grow pine trees specifically to sell them during Christmas time. This can be a good source of revenue for them. Many small businesses are suffering during the pandemic. By buying a tree from such places, you are supporting local business.

Just as there are many reasons to buy a real tree, there are lots of reasons to buy a fake one. Some people don’t have the time to take care of a real tree or they don’t have the money. If buying a real tree causes you lots of inconvenience, don’t buy one. But if there is a choice between getting a real tree or a fake one, choose the real tree.
