Super Blood Moon Eclipse Craze

Photos from Sunday night’s astronomical phenomenon have been flooding the internet worldwide. Known as the ‘Super Blood Moon’, this occasion is known as special and rare for two reasons. First, the moon was in the ‘supermoon’ position, making it closer to the Earth and larger than usual. Second, the moon was set for a lunar eclipse. This eclipse was the last in a series of four spanning two years, a rare event called a ‘Tetrad’. These can happen few times per a century or can make themselves very rare and skip over a few centuries. Many astrologists have spoken about just how special this moon is and what it brings. According to astrologist Cathy Pagano, this last Blood Moon symbolizes a time to “integrate the endings, awakenings, transformations. death, and rebirth experiences related to the balance of Self and Other.” “Lunar eclipses occur when the shadow of the Earth moves across the face of the Moon,” says Pagano. “Full moons help us become aware of something within us, some feeling or belief that we keep hidden. At a lunar eclipse, these feelings and beliefs come out unconsciously. You could say our shadow is showing so look for your shadow this weekend! Embrace it, name it and allow it into your life! This is the ultimate choice–stay open to all of yourself and own it.” The Supermoon is definitely an interesting topic if you are ever looking for a good read!
