RED AND GOLD WEEK

By Ali Bradbury

March 28th-April 1st is Red and Gold week, where students who are running for student council are divided in teams and go head to head in an effort to win over the hearts of the school. Each team gets one lunchtime activity as well as one 3 minute video announcement which will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Throughout the week the students deck out the school as well as their outfits in red and gold. At the end of the week there will be an assembly where each team will have 20 minutes to present their team to the school. This is when the students get to go all out and show why they should be voted for and how well they work together as a team. After the assembly, at the beginning of the day, the school will be voting for who they want to be student council for the following year. The students can chose any person from either team to take each part, it doesn’t have to be the whole red team or the whole gold team. At the end of the day the results will be announced in a short assembly and the 2016-2017 Mountain View student council will be chosen.
