The election process was long and intense for these candidates, each and every one of them earning their position through hours of hard work throughout both election weeks. The first week, Primary Week (March 22nd-26th), consisted of the incoming Seniors putting up their posters and beginning the advertising of their campaign. March 29th-April 2nd was Red and Gold week, where all candidates that were voted to continue on past the Primary were split into either the Red or Gold team and competed against each other, creating lunchtime activities, handouts, and morning announcements to try and grab the students’ attention. Candidates with a direct opponent going for their position were put on opposing teams, while those unopposed were split evenly between the two. Final elections were done the morning of April 2nd following the Red and Gold assembly that was prepared by the candidates and their team leaders from the current student council, and results were released to the student body later that day in a symbolic pre-recorded assembly, in which the current student council members handed off their Student Council sweaters to their successor.

We are so excited to have this incredible group of students lead our school this upcoming year and truly appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that they have already shown throughout this process. Congratulations, 21-22 Student Council!
