Gas Prices Skyrocketing

After continuously rising for the past month, gas prices in Utah are now among the highest in the nation

Gas prices in Utah have grown over 40 cents in the last month alone. This makes Utah’s average price the seventh highest in the United States. Other states that surpass Utah in gas price are Alaska, Hawaii, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. California drivers are paying the highest average price of $3.72 a gallon, while South Carolina is cruising smooth at just $2.37 per gallon.

In Utah, the average price at a gas pump is $2.98 while the average price for Diesel is $2.85. This is 40 cents higher than last month but about 70 cents cheaper than this time last year.

The students at Mountain View love all of our cars equally but gas guzzlers may be in trouble if prices continue to rise.
