For this month’s teacher spotlight, Mr. Walsh!

For this month’s teacher spotlight, it goes to Mr. Walsh. He teaches English 10, British Literature and Journalism for this school year. He is an amazing teacher and has been teaching here at Mountain View for 2 Years. Originally from Old Fort, a small town in North Carolina, he’s recently moved to Utah, only being here for 2 years. For college, he attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In his free time he loves spending time with his family. He is also a big video game person, with Ninendo games being his favorite. I asked Walsh why he wanted to teach English to students. He responded, “I love stories. Stories remind us that we’re all human. As far as teaching, I love the spark in somebody’s eye when they understand something.” Chris English, a fellow classmate of mine also had something to say about Walsh, “I like how genuine he is and how he teaches from the heart.”
