The 78th Golden Globe Awards
The 78th Golden Globe Awards select and honor the best television shows and motion pictures in multiple genres; best picture, best actor/actress, best director, best forigein language film just to name a few. Although this ceremony may not be as prestigious as the Emmys Awards (television awards) and Academy Awards (film awards), for these actors, actresses, and directors February 28th will be an opportunity to build their career.
The Golden Globe Awards have multiple partners. One of them this year is Feeding America, the largest non-profit hunger-relief program in the United States. Feeding America serves 46 million people out of soup kitchens, pantries, and other shelters. They have a force of 200 food banks across the country all with the common goal of “Feeding America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.” According to HFPA, “Throughout the telecast, viewers will be made aware of Feeding America’s COVID-19 response efforts.” The worldwide pandemic has put millions of people in need of financial help. Through this partnership of the Golden Globe Awards and Feeding America viewers in need will see light of where they can get the help they need to feed themselves and their families.
This year’s Golden Globe Award ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 28th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Returning for the fourth time are hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Poehler will be at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. While Fey will be located at the Rainbow Room in New York City.
