Mountain View has a long history of good track teams, and this year’s track team was’t an exception, The boys Placed 3rd in 5A. The state meet was held at Davis high school this year, all spectators were required to wear face coverings at all times.
On Day 1 of the state meet Mari Konold took 2nd place in the 3200, CArter Walker and Abe Staford made some noise in the high jump, taking 1st place and 3rd place, The 4×200 meter team, Max Blackwell, Collin, Phillis and Jett Anderson took 1st place.
The day 2 of the state meet everything was pushed back because of lightning, Utah’s weather can change in one minute. Mari Konold placed 4th in the 1600 meter, Chris Esparza placed 5th in the shot put, Eliza Herring finished 3rd in the discus. Most of these Athletes will be coming back next year so we can expect MV to perform the same way or even better! Go Bruins
