Bungie’s blog post on the partnership mentions, “in SIE, we have found a partner who unconditionally supports us in all we are and who wants to accelerate our vision to create generation-spanning entertainment, all while preserving the creative independence that beats in Bungie’s heart.” Bungie plans to continue to create gaming masterpieces for generations to come. They partnered with Sony because Sony promised to allow total creative control and independence in their future endeavors.

Heads of both companies seem very excited about the partnership. Herman Hulst, head of Playstation Studios, in an interview with Sid Shuman, content communications director at SIE, said “I’ve spent a lot of time with folks like Jason Jones and Pete Parsons, and some of the senior team over at Bungie. And let me tell you that everyone’s very excited for Bungie and Playstation Studios to share ideas, share some of our battle scars as well. And really, just learn from each other.” The combined excitement of members from both teams means great things for the future of production for both companies.
