This Christmas, were you trying to get your hands on a new PS5 or Xbox, but couldn’t? Well, there are some reasons why you couldn’t get one then or get one now.
NVIDIA, the company that makes these graphics cards, also makes other graphics cards. The reason is that NVIDIA can’t produce enough products to make the consoles. This doesn’t come as any surprise, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a shortage of supplies for almost a year. Everyone is ordering everything online and people are sitting in their houses with nothing to do. So why not build a PC? Play some video games? In every PS5 or Xbox Series X, they have a RTX 3080 graphic card. Not only the PS5s or Xboxes, but those who make their own PCs need or want this graphics card. From The Verge,“The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S going live, as well as the initial wave of sales for Nvidia’s RTX 3080 graphics card online and in select stores, was nothing short of a disaster.” Everyone wants to get their hands on one, and it is making it hard for the gaming industry. Also, there is only one company that makes them and so the supply and demand train is going all over the place.

this is true but now i think most people just don’t want a ps5 or xbox because of the ton of people wants it
